Idaho bear draw odds
Every bear controlled hunt Idaho Fish and Game has published drawing odds for, 1998 to 2026. Pick a hunt to see how many hunters named it first and how many of them drew it, season by season.
Idaho runs no point system. Not for bear, not for any species — the department says so plainly and its published data has never carried a point, preference or bonus field in twenty-nine seasons. Every controlled hunt below is a straight random drawing among the hunters who applied that year, which means the published odds are the complete answer rather than one factor in it.

What Idaho publishes, and what it does not
Idaho Fish and Game publishes controlled hunt drawing odds back to 1998 — the longest run of any state on this site — with, for every hunt, the permits available, the hunters who named it first and second, how many of each drew, and a split of applicants and permits by residency.
What it does not publish is a firm results date, an explanation of the placeholder values in its permits-available field, or anything that settles whether a controlled hunt number refers to the same ground from one season to the next. Each hunt page says which of those touch it.
